Wildlife & Birding

WILDLIFE AND BIRDING

Texas is blessed with World-famous birding, and plays host to countless migrating birds each season. The main attraction, though, is the wintering Whooping Cranes in the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and surrounding areas. These endangered birds are recovering from severely low numbers and Texas is one of the best places to see them!

But that’s not all our wilderness areas offer. On our Cruise to the Whoopers excursion, you’ll also pass through true wilderness and the myriad animals that live in the estuary and marsh habitats. Watch wild hogs rooting around the shoreline. Spot coyotes galloping around looking for their next meal. You may even spot deer and other big animals on the trip. The birds may be the main attraction but the other wildlife is just as special.
